JXH CNC at UMIDS 2026: AI Wood Cutting Technology Makes Its Debut in Russia

In April 2026, JXH CNC traveled to Krasnodar, Russia, to exhibit at UMIDS 2026 — one of the region's leading woodworking machinery exhibitions — and the response exceeded all expectations.

Presented in partnership with TRUST Machinery (stanki-derevo.ru), our local distribution partner in Russia, this marked the first time JXH's AI-powered solid wood cutting technology was demonstrated live on Russian soil.

What We Showed

At the center of our exhibition stand was the JXH AI Cutting Machine — running live demonstrations throughout the event, processing real solid wood boards in front of visitors.

The machine's three-step process drew immediate attention from the floor:

• AI Scan — An industrial vision camera automatically scans the full board surface, detecting knots, cracks, splits, and sapwood in real time, with no manual inspection required.

• Auto Nesting — The AI generates an optimized cutting layout across multiple product types simultaneously, maximizing material yield from every board.

• Auto Cut — The machine executes the cutting path to under 1mm precision — fully automated, no manual marking, no guesswork.

Finished sample pieces on display included shaped beech and ash furniture components, oak cutting boards, and a variety of irregular solid wood parts — all cut directly from natural-width boards with visible defects, demonstrating exactly what the technology is designed to handle.

Strong Interest from the Russian Market

Over the course of UMIDS 2026, our booth attracted a steady stream of manufacturers producing beech and oak furniture, wooden kitchenware, cutting boards, and decorative solid wood products.

Professional film crews captured live machine demonstrations. Visitors gathered closely to watch the AI scan and nesting process in action — many seeing this level of automation applied to natural solid wood for the first time.
