Gunstock Blank Cutting with the JXH B06-0630 AI Cutting Machine
This gunstock manufacturer uses JXH AI cutting to process rough beech boards into rifle stocks, short stocks and square blanks before four-axis or five-axis machining.
700-800gunstock blanks per day, depending on stock size and board quality
+10-15%material utilization improvement compared with the previous process
55.0% / 62.8%utilization examples from two different rough boards
PDF / Printshift-level reports for board count, part count, utilization and board size
Customer Challenge
The customer previously followed a long manual process: rough board edge trimming, cutting large boards into smaller pieces, manual line marking, band saw blanking, and then four-axis or five-axis machining. For natural gunstock material, each board has different shape, grain, bark edge and defect conditions, so manual judgment directly affected yield and production stability.

AI Nesting for Two Board Types
The case includes two real layouts from different beech boards and different product combinations. The software places rifle stock blanks, short stock blanks and square blanks into the usable board area while avoiding unusable edges and defects.
